I had a similar thing a couple weeks ago. I believe it was 7'4 as well. As I remember it worked fine before lunch but then after lunch it was bugged. I repaired the handset and sensor, and rebooted both twice. It didn't seem to fix it, but then I looked away for a second and it fixed itself. I may be mis-remembering some details, but I believe that was the gist of it.
